Mental health screenings performed with Connected Mind are billable under CPT code 96127, which covers brief emotional and behavioral assessments. Average reimbursement for 96127 ranges from approximately $5 to $12 per screening depending on the payer and region. With just a handful of screenings per day, the subscription cost is recovered through standard reimbursement.
For follow-up standardized testing, providers can bill under CPT codes 96130, 96136, and 96138, which carry higher reimbursement rates. These codes cover psychological testing evaluation, administration, and technician services — all supported within the Connected Mind platform. Combined with screening codes, testing reimbursement can significantly exceed the monthly subscription cost.
Connected Mind does not bill payers on your behalf. Your practice submits claims using your existing billing workflow. We provide CPT code reference materials and billing guidance to help your team get started.

Are there per-patient fees?
No. The subscription includes unlimited screenings and testing. There are no per-patient, per-screening, or per-test fees.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Connected Mind subscriptions are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required. You can cancel at any time.
Can I bill insurance for screenings?
Yes. Screenings are billable under CPT code 96127, and follow-up testing under CPT codes 96130, 96136, and 96138. Most commercial insurance and Medicare reimburse these codes, which can offset or exceed the subscription cost.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes. Once your account is created, your team has immediate access to the platform and all training materials.
What does training look like?
Connected Mind includes interactive, self-led training for every role in your clinic — from providers to front-desk staff. Each role-specific module takes 10 to 20 minutes and includes certification upon completion.
Is technical support included?
Yes. The platform is designed to be intuitive, and training covers everything your team needs to get started. If questions come up, technical and billing support are included in your subscription at no additional cost.
Who needs a provider license?
Physicians, mid-level providers, and qualified healthcare professionals such as clinical psychologists each need a license. Clinical support staff — medical assistants, nurses, front-desk — do not need their own license.
Are tablets included?
No. Connected Mind runs on most modern Android and Apple tablets. Most clinics use a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ or similar 11-inch tablet with a protective case — typically under $200 each.
How many tablets do I need?
Plan for two to three tablets per provider. The exact number depends on patient volume — having enough tablets on hand prevents bottlenecks in the waiting room.
