Two reasons, both specific to healthcare. First, browser-delivered applications update in real time. When we release a clinical update or security patch, every device receives it the next time the application is opened — not days or weeks later. In a clinical setting, that matters. Second, app store applications require each device to be signed into a personal account, which creates a privacy risk on shared tablets. Connected Mind® with Fast Check® installs without a personal account, so patient-facing devices stay locked down. Once installed, the application has its own icon, runs in its own window, and works like any other application on the device.

Yes. The Connected Mind® application uses enterprise-grade encryption (TLS 1.3), authentication (via Amazon Cognito), and data protection standards. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The application also benefits from the browser’s built-in security sandboxing, which provides an additional layer of protection for sensitive healthcare data.

The Connected Mind® with Fast Check® application caches only its own program files locally — no patient data is ever stored on the device. The application launches even without an internet connection, but an active connection is required to conduct screenings because all patient data is transmitted directly to and from our secure servers in real time and is never saved locally.

The Connected Mind® application is lightweight by design, typically using less than 5 MB of device storage. It loads resources on-demand and caches only what is necessary for fast, reliable performance.

Connected Mind® with Fast Check® updates automatically. Each time you launch the application, it checks for the latest version and applies any updates in the background. There is no manual update process, no version number to track, and no downtime.

Yes. You can download and install Connected Mind® on as many devices as you need — your desktop computer at the office, your tablet in the exam room, and your phone. Your account and data sync across all devices automatically.

Connected Mind® is uninstalled the same way as any other application on your device. Windows: Right-click the application icon and select “Uninstall.” macOS: Right-click the icon in the Dock and choose “Remove from Dock,” then delete from Applications. Android: Long-press the icon and drag to “Uninstall.” iPhone/iPad: Long-press the application icon and tap “Remove App.”

Make sure you’ve opened Connected Mind using the “Download Connected Mind” button on this page. Some browsers display the install prompt after a few seconds of interaction with the application. We recommend downloading with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Safari for the best installation experience. Firefox does not currently support application installation on desktop, but on Android you can use “Add to Home Screen” from the Firefox menu.
